Jeff Gillette
Contemporary artist Jeff Gillette lives in Southern California near Disneyland. Much of his art is a juxtaposition of the unreality of the so-called ‘Happiest Place on Earth’ (with those lovable rodents!) and the gut-wrenching reality of the ‘Heaviest Places on Earth’: Third-World Slums, Mega-Landfills and Wastelands personally experienced in his many world-wide travels, including being a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal, and later doing art residencies in Mumbai and Kathmandu.
