JAWS: 50th Anniversary Art Show
Current exhibition
Overview
CODA, in conjunction with Harman Projects alongside Popcore, Universal Studios and Amblin Entertainment, is pleased to present an officially licensed art exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of Steven Spielberg's seminal film, JAWS.
When JAWS premiered in 1975, it didn't just redefine the thriller genre, it completely changed Hollywood filmmaking. The first true summer blockbuster, Steven Spielberg’s masterful direction combined with John Williams' iconic score created a sensory experience that forever changed how audiences engage with cinema. The film's influence can be found throughout popular culture, from dramatic suspense building techniques to the marketing strategies that now dominate the motion picture industry. JAWS also marked a turning point in the portrayal of fear and nature in media, turning the ocean into both a literal and metaphorical abyss.
