Valeri Larko
Growing up in Northern New Jersey, Valeri Larko spent most of her life surrounded by endless miles of industrial parks, highways and shopping malls which became the foundation for her fascination with the built environment. She paints her landscapes on site, drawn to the decaying and abandoned structures that populate the outskirts of America’s urban centers and the stories these places can tell.
Valeri has been previously comissioned to paint several murals for New Jersey Transit and has exhibited works in institions across the US and Europe. She currently resides in New Rochelle, NY while she explores the fringes of the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens.
